Welcome to Hummingbird Hearts, an online community for transplanted ladies who have left their countries to join their partners or significant others with whom they have been in a long distance relationship.

If you are a foreign wife, or in a bicultural relationship, or you found your love online, or if you are still in a long distance relationship, you are one of millions of women around the world who have braved these complicated, but rewarding marriages and relationshios.

Long distance relationships kindled online can be very complicated and often difficulties arise in a new country when there are conflicts in culture, homesickness, and insecurities. Being an expat woman as a foreign wife or partner is a great adventure and often the experience of living abroad is an enriching experience in a bicultural relationship.

Expatriate communities can help overcome adjustments and help dealing with feelings of being homesick, but ultimately the greatest success comes when living in a foreign city and working abroad is no longer challenge, but a joy!
